Halloween at Trevarrian

The final meet of the club year (until the Christmas Meal at Globe Vale.. more about that later), was at Trevarrian near Watergate Bay.

Despite the warnings of some ‘inclement weather’, the meet was well attended, stewarded by Ian and Claire. Pitching was overseen by Ian whilst Claire did the hard ‘miles’ with the clipboard and pen!

Ten Pin Bowling delivered Christmas early when Sue hit three strikes in a row, known in club bowling circles as ‘lucky’ and by everyone else as a Turkey! Well done Sue.

Pumpkin Carving

The annual pumpkin carving competition was a very keenly fought affair. Designs were kept a closely guarded secret right up until the carving started. Vice Chair was on hand with sticking plasters and bandages. Thankfully no first aid was needed!

With all the carving finished, in a hushed room, the adjudicators walked round, carefully inspecting the ‘handiwork’ of the entrants.

Well done to the winner.. Steevo. See if you can spot him in the picture.
