AGM weekend at Trevarrian
“As rare as hens teeth”
Some might say “rocking horse poo” but that’s what a dry day is looking like as the rain, cold and even a couple of hail showers landed on us over the weekend. The hardy group that we are, we all got set up and settled down throughout Friday afternoon. 28 units turned out for one of the most important weekends in the club calendar.
Details on all of the events in the AGM will be in a newsletter that will soon be in your inbox.. so if you weren’t able to make the meet, don’t worry, all will be revealed!
A ten pin bowling event was organised at the onsite bowling alley with bar snacks for the hungry. Everyone was issued with their own pair of slippy bowling shoes and although you could have been watching The Ministry of Silly Walks at times, some really good scores were achieved, with Debbie W top scoring with 133!
name redacted gave her a good run for her money with a score of 15… glasses of wine… way to go B!!!
Also, a little birdie whispered in my ear about a new comedy duo.. Eric ‘n’ Urn. One wears glasses and the other doesn’t. Talk about faff!
All they had to do was serve the teas and coffees. They got them all poured, but not necessarily in the right order! Their homework for the week is to make sure that there’s no repeat next weekend… that’s assuming we get a dry day to have a coffee afternoon.
On Saturday evening a disco was put on and if you thought the movements displayed at the bowling alley were something to behold, you’ve not witnessed some of the dance routines on display. It was a bit of cross between watching an episode of Dr Who and the Daleks and Peter Crouch doing his robotics.
Who cares though because we all did what we aim to do on our weekends.. have fun and laughter with our camping friends.
Sunday we all packed up and headed for home to get ready for next weeks meeting at Dove Meadows, Marazion.
Cockadoodledo!
