Camping Season Opener
Globe Vale, Radnor.
At long last the camping season is underway and 19 members gathered at Globe Vale with the weather looking fairly settled for the weekend.
Globe Vales’ hard standing pitches ensured that after seemingly months of rain, our vans and cars didn’t go home caked in mud.. but cake did feature in the meet.
With the weather holding on Saturday afternoon we decided to hold an afternoon tea and all enjoyed a good old chin wag and cakes. Some chins wagged more than others but then that’s normal!
There are no piccys of the afternoon tea as resident paparazzi was yapping and cutting cake at the same time!!!
The site has excellent onsite facilities and several of us enjoyed a nice meal and a few beers in The Shaft Inn on Saturday night. Those opting to have a Sunday lunch were able to extend their stay Sunday.
Sunday, packing up day, booooooo, was dry and we all departed looking forward to the AGM next week at Trevarrian, Newquay.
Fingers and toes crossed for a dry week! Trevarrian opening time will be confirmed by next weeks stewards, Clare and Ian. If you have booked and can’t make it, please let them know as I’m sure there’s a waiting list. TTFN.
