Churchtown Farm

Churchtown Farm, GwithianCorena, Tom and Bonny were all ready to go when campers rocked up from 12:00 with Rooster and Paparazzi having travelled a long way from Perranporth.

It was pretty blustery with strong winds (obviously) and lots of clouds, the currant bun was in and out but it wasn’t raining, even though we really need some now. This meant the pitches were in excellent condition for this time of the year.

Pooch had to settle for a few walks around the site as we didn’t feel like being sandblasted on the beach. Everyone settled in for an evening with the TV and no doubt a few drinkypoos.

Saturday dawned much brighter and the winds subsided and soon people were bustling about. Corena announced that there would be tea and biscuits during the afternoon.

Pooch led us to the beach getting more and more excited the closer we got. She’s no water dog thankfully but loves running and chasing balls.

Afternoon tea went ahead but half the campers were out so it was a quietish affair but we enjoyed it anyway. Stewards can decide whether to hold a little get together or not but if the weathers kind, it adds a nice bit of social to the weekend.

Sunday, departure day, was wet and miserable to start with but intermittent breaks in the rain enabled most to get packed away with just about everyone having departed by 11:30.

Thanks again to Tom and Corena for a lovely weekend.

It’s Feast of Lanterns next weekend at Gwinnear Lakes, the theme, Movie Date Night. So bring long some bits and pieces and let your imagination run wild.

I like the movie, One Flew over the Roosters Nest but I’m saying nothing more.

The meet opens at 12:00 so until then

Cockadoodledo!
