Gwithian Farm

20+ units arrived for the visit to Gwithian Farm campsite at Gwithian, just outside Hayle, with sun, sea and sangria on the menu.. or gin, beer and wine.. or tea and coffee for the goody goodies.

Thanks are due to our stewards, Chunky (Mark), Putzy and Mel, who cheerfully pitched arrivals throughout the day.

The weekend was mostly fine but a chill wind kept the warmth of the sun at bay much of the time.

A new star baker (Mr Putzy), wowed us with some cake treats at Saturday afternoons open tea. Next time we expect to see a showstopper featuring an ice carving and Italian meringue.

Madame Chairman Sue gave us a brief update on club things and reminded us that our next meet is at Penryn Rugby Club, Penryn.

The club is always looking for new members but we sadly had to reject two applicants, Mindy and Rosie. They turned up, ate grass, butted heads and just wandered around peoples pitches… and they don’t have a caravan or motorhome! We are a friendly club, but a pair of goats? Speak to the committee if you think they should be allowed to join.

We look forward to seeing you all soon. Please bring some corn for a hungry Rooster.
