Marazion Touring Park
What a weekend we’ve had! Very eventful to say the least. Lynn who was due to host ,had to visit the hospital so The Rooster and Paparazzi jumped in to make sure campers still had a weekend camping to enjoy. Lynn did manage to attend and we hope she’s back to full fitness soon.
We didn’t quite reach the dizzy heights of a bacon breakfast this week but we did have an extended visit from Mr. Sun.
This site was devastated by the storms earlier in the year with many trees downed here and in the surrounding woods but it still retains its charm and New Forest feel.
19 units made the journey with a couple of newer members turning up again. So we must be doing something right with our famous warm and welcoming ethos… (Oooo.. I do love a new word.)
Lynn, who’s just a fab baker, provided cakes for us all on Saturdays tea get together, so thanks Lynn for them and it was a real pleasure to see Roy and Alison again, two of our longest serving members, visit us for tea.
Sunglasses were brought out at some speed when Alan and Barbs MH appeared sporting a bright shiny roof. Glistening in the sun, ET could have seen it from space! In fact, NASA thought Haley’s Comet had come 50 years early!
Poor old Bert the dog got stung by a very naughty wasp but after many hugs and cuddles he was soon his normal self. What with last weeks heroic hedgehog rescue, we will soon be opening a Blue Cross section. So if you’ve any spare bandages, plasters and unused packets of antihistamines, ChairSue will be giving courses in Mummy Wrapping with a badge for alll who complete the course.
This is the last club meet until September when we shall be going to Old MacDonalds Farm near St Eval.
Have a great summer!
