Old MacDonalds Farm
Old MacDonald had a farm,E-I-E-I-O… if you don’t know all the words, just Oink or moo, here and there.
The wagons rolled in on Friday welcomed by stewards Mr. and Mrs Putzy. It was overcast and a bit breezy but the rain held off following a wet week.
We were a bit scattered around as the site was still fairly busy with end of summer season campers.
There was an awesome group on in the clubhouse and the food on offer at the site was really good. In order to try and keep the site quiet at night, the clubhouse closed at nine pm. Early enough for a few Cockadoodledos before bed. What a great idea.
Saturday was markedly different with bright sunshine all day and almost no wind giving many the chance to go and explore the surrounding sights such as Trevose Head and Bedruthen Steps.
Steve and Mel also hosted a tea and biscuits get together which was well attended by those not out exploring. It’s great when stewards are able to put on theses social events, it’s part of the club fabric… so if you’re at a weekend meet and one is organised, support your club and the stewards.
Steve tried to recruit some new club members, but the resident alpacas and goats couldn’t fill in the application forms. He had a bit more success acting as a flabellum, fanning Mrs P to keep her cool in the heat of the day! There is pictorial evidence!!
The Posh End of the site.
As we were a bit scattered, Mr Rooster noticed on his travels that there seemed to be a ‘Posh End’. No common old beer for them, oh no, they’re sat quaffing Merlot and Pimms, feet up, lauding it. I said I wouldn’t mention any names but sorry Ron and Deb, the cat’s out of the bag! No bribery, but a glass for the Rooster next time will ensure your anonymity!
I really did feel quite a home mixing with the numerous chooks wandering around the farm!
Next weekend is at Little WInnick near Pentewan. I’m off to peck some corn.
The End. Cockadoodledo!!
