The Old Stables, Hayle
Cock-a-doodle-do! What a weekend. Hosted by Steve and Mel H, (thanks for super weekend guys), we descended on The Old Stables, welcomed by great hosts, Mike and Jayne. Although windy, we had plenty of sunshine. The wind did its best to derail the weekend but the currant bun won the day.
There were just over 20 units for this three day meet where again some new members enjoyed the level grassy site with its wilded borders and lots of colourful flowers for us to look at, a veritable boon for insects and birds.
The site has a resident food van serving a range of delicious breakfast food, all freshly cooked. It didn’t go unnoticed by Rooster that they did seem to have lots of bacon!
Miss Papparazi could be seen snapping away capturing the wildlife. Her pictures feature regularly in these reports.
The Rooster never sleeps and is always on the lookout for stories to entertain the readers. A fellow Rooster could be heard Cockadoodledo-doing all weekend, providing you had your ears open, passing information to yours truly.
Spare a thought for Mrs Grump. Who, you ask? Well our poor old Madame Chairpersonwomanman had a bit of a mare of a week where she basically had a grump on all week. Feeling obviously sorry for her, I enquired for our readership, what had been the source of such turmoil. “ #+£&*/;()’l#@@£&*()’ “ was the closest I got to an answer.
The grump soon disappeared though because she was out camping with a happy bunch of campers. Well done everyone for salvaging her week.
Rooster is currently carrying out an inspection of the clubs BCC Cornwall THS at Trevornick, Holywell Bay. First impressions are very favourable, a lovely field for us to use, close to all amenities with huge doggy walks, golf and well stocked shop.
I’m going to end with a Rooster footnote. If you’re going to clean your unit before coming out for the weekend, don’t miss the front of the van roof and if you do, don’t park it where campers can see it!!
