Tollgate Farm, Perranporth

Sunny weather greeted us upon our arrival for the five day visit to Tollgate Farm.

This beautifully situated site is just outside Perranporth with views across the towans (dunes) to the coast beyond.

Local landmarks to visit include St. Pirans Oratory which features in the yearly celebrations on St. Pirans Day. This wonderful oratory is located in the Towans.

We had 30 pitches and the sunny weather meant we could have a lovely afternoon tea and cake meet by the stewards pitch on Saturday.

Sunday was quite windy with the winds lowering the temperature somewhat but many still chose to walk the coast path and other places.

Bob G is a bit of a walking (literally) legend who regularly covers distances of 15-20 miles! He told us about meeting a few old cows who obstinately refused to let him cross their field.

Whilst Roosters don’t get exercised, dogs do and Rooster would remind all our dog owners to please clean up after their pets. It only takes one to mar the reputation of all.
